Last summer, I was able to exercise both my drawing and writing skills significantly as I kept both a sketchbook and a notebook on my person for some time. I would draw and/or write whenever I had free time, and I currently have a load of "meh" sketches that have helped me through the process. Granted, some of them are quite graphic in nature, but I enjoyed creating them nonetheless. I have recently put up one story in particular that I posted on fimfiction.net (yes, I like ponies),and, while it lacks subtlety, it was given a good rating on that other site I posted it on.
